C-COR FEATURES ONE-STOP OSS FOR THE DIGITAL DECADE AT SCTE’S CABLE-TEC EXPO 2004
Demonstrates Comprehensive, ROI-Proven System Solution to Manage
Network, Subscriber, and Workforce

In a powerful consolidation of industry-leading OSS offerings, C-COR and its recent acquisition, Alopa Networks, will showcase the superior value and benefit of their combined solution for management of network infrastructures, services, subscribers, and workforce in the emerging digital environment at the 2004 SCTE (Society of Cable and Telecommunications Engineers) Cable-Tec Expo in Orlando Florida, June 15 -18. In its Booth #856, C-COR will demonstrate three modular software applications under its flagship ISM™ (Integrated Services Management) system that together form the most comprehensive OSS solution for the broadband industry. Each application— Network Service Manager(NSM™), Mobile Workforce Manager (MWM™), and Service Activation Management (SAM), formerly MetaServ™ Provisioning System for Alopa—provides highly advantageous visibility, control, and management of critical touch points in cable network operations. The combined strength of several stand-alone systems enables broadband providers to reduce the complexity of broadband applications and service deployments and ensure network and service quality that ultimately drives revenue-generation and cost efficiencies such as reduced truck rolls.

The spotlight this year will be on the demonstration of the SAM System, a fully integrated, flexible, and modular solution that consolidates and simplifies the entire service life cycle relating to ongoing subscriber demands. The demonstration will feature advanced functionality such as service selection and self-activation software that speeds subscription of new customers; assurance software that includes utilities for detailed diagnostics, subscriber activity tracking and service/network resource management; and mediation software that optimizes business operations by executing workflow rules and communications interfaces to third-party billing, customer care, and other back office systems.

C-COR will also feature a live demonstration of a current deployment of NSM in a selected MSO system. NSM is a customer-centric solution focused on proactively identifying and solving fault management issues. The application integrates the best-in-class standards-based network management technology with customer care and billing data sources to give operators a 360 degree view to proactively monitor and manage the health of their network infrastructure and the quality of services delivered, and to prioritize alarm resolutions by the number of customers impacted.

In addition, C-COR will demonstrate its latest 5.1 version of MWM that adds new enterprise-level functionality across multiple systems as well as expanded reporting capabilities
for mobile workforce automation. MWM, currently deployed in 15 cable systems nationwide, takes advantage of the latest advances in handheld PCs, wireless communications, and workforce management software applications to automate routing, dispatch, and workflow management and to provide business intelligence reporting that enable significant cost reductions, improved work capacity, and the optimal use of field workforce.

The theme of C-COR’s booth at this year’s Cable-Tec conference is “The Broadband World Tour 2004”, reflecting both the Company’s sponsorship of SCTE’s Expo Evening at the Hard Rock Live and its global reach in terms of customers and facilities. As part of the festivities, C-COR will distribute “Rocker” memorabilia to booth visitors. Visitors will also have the opportunity to register for a drawing to win a high quality electric guitar.
