Before you buy your new computer equipment you will want to decide on a PC monitor. After all you have to stare at it for years to come! You need to decide on the image quality, resolution, size and type your new screen must be enough space for whatever you will do. The apparent size is about an inch smaller than the tube size on CRTs advertised. The best size for most people is 17-19 cm. Each of these sizes should be enough for most computer equipment needed. An LCD screen is full size it says, so it takes much less space than the CRT, inch for inch.

Is a LCD PC monitor for you?
For most computer users a 17-inch LCD screen is the best desktop PC monitor. A 15 inch is cheaper, but seems to be very small if your current computer equipment and a 17 "CRT. 17 inches is most comfortable in size and price. The price is much higher if you go to a 18 to 19 inch PC monitor.
Maybe a CRT computer monitor is for you?
The 19-inch flat screen is great, the price is about the same as a conventional, but the picture quality is much higher. It will also take up much less desk space than conventional PC monitor.

When you finish your current computer equipment never ever send your old PC monitor to the dump. Recycle instead. It is not only good for the environment, but it is also a legal requirement in some countries will not accept computer monitors into the mainstream municipal landfills. CRTs contain four to six pounds of lead plus other toxic materials that leach into the soil and water if not properly disposed. Contact the seller or your local government recycling companies in your vicinity that can handle CRTs. |
