Mybandsmusic Music Challenge-Winner will Receive $500 |

Today’s online music revolution belongs to the independent artists and their fans and MyBandsMusic will be one of the pillars that are helping to build and strengthen that community.
Boston, MA-May 7, 2008-MyBandsMusic, a social networking and online store built for the independent artists and music fans, announced their first online MyBandsMusic Music Challenge contest-http://contest.mybandsmusic.com/index.php
MyBandsMusic allows new artists to launch a profile and bio page including paid and free music downloads or sales of their CDs with every artist retaining 100% profit of their sales. The fans can also create their own profile and provide feedback to the artists on the site. Thousands of free downloads are available to the fan interested in the newest music across every genre.
The next logical step in progression for the site, now that there is a substantial base of artists and fans, was to offer an online video contest and let the fans decide who was the most talented. The first video will be of Ted Nugent’s classic rocker “Cat Scratch Fever.” Fans will consider originality, quality and overall talent of each individual or band that submits a video that emulates the original song, allowing for improvisations with visual effects, props, and anything else that makes the performances stand out. The winner will receive $500 check. The deadline for submissions is June 14th and voting will end June 31st with the winner announced just in time for fireworks on the 4th of July.
