ESSENTIAL TENNIS PODCAST NOW #1 TENNIS INSTRUCTION PODCAST ON iTUNES
Rockville, Maryland, 3/10/2010 — The Essential Tennis Podcast, launched in April of 2008, has quickly climbed the rankings at the iTunes Music Store to now become the #1 rated tennis instruction podcast in that directory. The iTunes Music Store is the world's number one distributor of podcasts, an audio media that is prerecorded and then released for consumption at the leaser of it's listeners. The Essential Tennis Podcast keeps it's focus on game improvement and instruction as host Ian Westermann answers questions submitted by his listeners. Topics include stroke technique, singles and doubles strategy, fitness and nutrition, mental toughness, and gear and equipment. Ian also welcomes other experts onto the show as guests to talk about specific topics with him. The Essential Tennis Podcast is released every week on Mondays and has a run time of approximately 30 minutes per show.
Essential Tennis features many other types of media and content besides the Podcast. Examples of this are the six written blogs covering topics such as tennis fitness, gear reviews, men's and women's professional tour news, professional instruction, and a general topic blog for other topics. These blogs are written by Ian and other guest writers who are typically fans of the web site. Video Tennis Instruction is also available on the site which features topics such as technique, singles strategies, and doubles strategies. Once per week there is a live call in show for fans of the web site in which Ian and his co-host talk about various tennis topics while taking calls from listeners. There is also a member Tennis Forums where frequent visitors of the web site gather to talk about their experiences in tennis.
Ian has also successfully organized and run two clinics for listeners of the Essential Tennis Podcast. The first was held in Baltimore, Maryland and the second in Palm Springs, California. Both featured a full weekend of tennis instruction by Ian along with competition, stroke technique instruction, and strategical instruction.
Essential Tennis was founded in April of 2008 and exists to provide free, expert tennis instruction to enthusiasts everywhere.
